Karikalan is an upcoming Tamil-language action film directed by L. I. Kannan featuring Vikram and Zarine Khan in the lead roles. The film which has been reported as a "period cum contemporary drama" is likely to release in 2012. It is going to be released in Telugu as Veerudu.
